Well as Willie Nelson says , I'm on the road again. This weekend is The Birmingham Art Walk 08 Fri night and Saturday. Last year was my first year and the show was decent for me. Since this year I am officially full time and I have a complete inventory hopefully I can exceed last years sales. Last year I was in one of the lofts but I got in the show from being on the wait list. Our loft was dead we were on the wrong side of the tracks. The party was huge on the other side of the tracks.
This year I told them if I am on the wrong side of the tracks then I do not want to participate. So I guess my threat worked. I am in the artist bazaar parking lot which I prefer, I applied early and was once again wait listed for a loft space. Apparently those who have participated the longest get 1st choice. The artist bazaar is better for me because I can set up my tent and display more stuff anyways. Plus how can you miss 20 tents in a parking lot right in the middle of the bars and restaurants.
Unfortunately I have not been able to paint for the past week since I have been running around trying to make deals happen and prepare for shows. I did however deliver 10 prints on canvas to Wills Park Equestrian Center to sell. I am excited that this will help get me more recognition in the community.
